Excited…Scared.

Starting a business has been both exciting and monumentally scary.

Every day I learn something new or apply knowledge I’ve had in the past as a human, designer, illustrator, art director, head of product development and most recently as Retail Sales Contributor.

One thing I’ve come to realize is that all the knowledge I acquired throughout the last 30 years working in editorial, video games, marketing, packaging and technology have formed the woman that I am today.

Envisioning and Developing Artful Products from Conception to Delivery has not been easy…but Everything I’ve produced is the result of the vast knowledge I’ve accrued in my corporate life.

Being new to retail there’s a lot I don’t know…So learning is non-stop and that alone is exciting to me as I LOVE to learn!

Today I saw my Carpe Diem Notebooks oferred at another store in Berkeley, CA, and again felt good about the work and excited about what is possible!

Another small win but a monumental step forward for my small (for now) business!
